Shot, but not edited
Long-form and shorts from one take — fast, and simple.
Make your first video without a key. No watermark, no locked features.
What it actually took
One 7:32 4K take. Script and brief supplied, emphasis words given, then hands off until it was done.
Made for
Interview, lecture, product tour. What goes in is the same: a script and the footage. What comes out is the long cut and a vertical short.
Interviewer and subject get their own subtitles; faces can be blurred.
With a script the subtitles are exact, and callouts stay clear of the face.
Shoot once, get the long cut and the vertical short together.
Add stills and they drop in on the line that talks about them.
What it does for you
Two minutes of footage becomes a finished cut in about one. All you choose is the pace and the frame.
01
They land on the voice. Add your script and misheard words get fixed too.
02
Cuts fall where sentences end. No scrubbing a timeline by hand.
03
Straight, rapid, breathing, plain — one take, four different paces.
04
It finds the quiet part of the frame. Nothing lands on eyes or mouth.
05
Four strengths, tracking the face across cuts — for people who would rather not be recognised.
06
Interviewer and subject each get their own subtitle style.
07
Your stills land on the line that names them. If you have none, free images are fetched.
08
Two freely licensed tracks arrive with the footage. Music ducks under speech on its own.
09
Several files are synced by their audio, then cut to whoever is talking.
10
Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese — line breaks tuned to each.
11
Publish to both without leaving the editor. No download-and-re-upload.
12
Footage never leaves. No per-video fee, no render queue.
From script to cut points
Each line is matched to where it was actually spoken, and the cut, the subtitle and the callout land on that timecode. This is the same pass the tool runs.
The editor
These are the same controls you get after installing. Move between the tabs and watch the frame respond.
How it works
A seven-minute take is a finished vertical cut thirteen minutes later. Use that time to prep the next shoot.
Video is required; script and brief are optional. Point at a local path to skip uploading entirely.
Shorts 9:16 or YouTube 16:9, a template, subtitles on or off, and the speech model.
Type the words to emphasise, or leave it blank and they are picked for you. Add stills, or let it fetch them.
You get the mp4 and the edit decisions (plan.json) — tweak the timings and re-render.
Formats
Crops assume a 4K 16:9 source. Smaller footage is handled by fitting the crop box to what you gave it.
420px bands top and bottom — title above, callout card below.
Picture fills the frame with the title laid over it. Best for close-ups.
Uncropped, subtitles only.

1free video
The download is free. After the trial video the editor asks for a key.
One key, one machine. Moving computers? Press Release this machine in the editor and paste the same key on the new one. Simultaneous machines need one key each. Keys verify offline.
Install
Download, double-click, done. Python and ffmpeg are already inside the app — nothing else to install, no terminal. The speech model (about 1.5 GB) is fetched once, while you make your first video; after that it runs offline.
The first launch shows an unidentified developer warning. Right-click the icon and choose Open once; after that a normal double-click works. A plain double-click the first time will not open it.
The dmg above is for Apple Silicon (M1 and later). On an Intel Mac use the method below — it works exactly as it always has.
Still works exactly as before. To move to the app, install the dmg above — your licence and your work carry over.

If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”, click More info then Run anyway. It appears for any newly published program that is not code-signed yet.
It keeps working. To move to the app, run the setup.exe above — your licence and your work carry over.
Download the zip for WindowsOn either platform, new versions install themselves — the app tells you and takes care of it. Your licence, settings and finished videos stay put.
Questions
It takes the repeatable volume — weekly shorts, interview digests, internal training clips where the format repeats. Brand films that need real direction still need a person. Use it to clear the routine work so your editor spends time where it counts.
Apply for the early-bird price and we send payment details plus a single line starting with AC1. Click Licence at the top right of the editor and paste it in. The key is stored only on that machine and verified without any network call. Moving machines? Release it in the editor and paste the same key elsewhere.
Yes — install and make one video without a key. No watermark and nothing held back, so you can judge it on your own footage. After that the editor asks for a key.
No. Without one the transcript is used as-is. With one, the transcript is corrected against your sentences, which matters a lot when the material is full of technical terms.
Transcription dominates: roughly half the runtime of the take on the default model — 3–4 minutes for a 7-minute video. Edit points and rendering add another minute or two.
No. It runs on your machine; this site only hosts the installer. The one exception is automatic image fetching, which sends the search term to a public image library.
Run the share launcher (share.cmd on Windows) to get a temporary public address.
Anyone with the link can upload and render on that machine’s CPU, so close it when you are done.
Only freely licensed ones are fetched, and author, licence and source URL are written to
inserts/credits.json. Credit CC BY works when you publish.
Feedback
Everything you send lands in one of two lists — feature requests and bugs — and ships through auto-update. No sign-in needed, and a screenshot makes the cause far easier to find.
An editing style you keep wanting, a subtitle look, an export format — write it as you'd say it.
Where it stopped, what you expected instead, and up to three screenshots of the error.
Start with the footage already sitting on your drive. Two minutes to install, thirteen to the first cut.

Write it as you'd say it. It goes into the auto-update queue.
What you write and attach is used only to fix the problem. No footage or scripts are uploaded.
